How To Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 4.4.2

In this article, I will show you how you can Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 4.4.2 and enjoy lots of latest features of the newest Android operating system, Android KitKat. This version of Android might never reach to the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 users officially, but if you really want to have the new Android taste on your tablet PC, which is named as KitKat – you can install Android 4.4.2 KitKat on your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 unofficially by following this tutorial.

By flashing with custom ROM or rooting your device, you are voiding the warrantee of your device. This tutorial is only for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 if you did try the same on any other device, it might damage the device. Pre-requisites: *.Your tablet PC should have at least 80% battery charged. *.You should backup your every important data before proceeding to flash your tablet PC. *.Enable USB Debugging on your device, do so by going to –Menu > Settings > Applications > USB Debugging. If this option is checked that means it is enabled. *.Download and install Samsung Galaxy Drivers or Samsung Kies. (For rooting your device).
*.Root your device, and Install latest CWM on your device. See here tutorial on how you could install CWM on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.
Rooting Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0: Step 1– Download Odin Tool and the Root file.
Step 2– Turn off your device and boot intoDownload Mode, do so by pressing and holding –Volume Down + Power Key.
Step 3– OpenOdin Tooland then connect your device to the computer.
Step 4– Now, click onPDA (AP)button on theOdin Tooland select the downloaded Root file.
Step 5– Now, click on Start button and wait for it to done.
After it completes, your tablet PC will be rebooted and after it you could unplug your device from your computer. Done!
Update Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat:
Step 1– Download theROM and Google Apps file and put them onto the memory card of your tablet PC.
Step 2– After it, simply boot intoRecovery Modeby pressing Volume Up + Power Key.
Step 3– Now using Recovery Mode, wipe up following to precede –Wipe Data / Factory Reset, Wipe Dalvik Cache and Wipe Cache Partition.
Step 4– After you complete Step 3, in theMain Menu of Recovery Mode, select Install from SD Cardand then choose the downloaded ROM.
Step 5–Repeat Step 4but this time choose the downloaded Google Apps file.
Step 6– After you complete those steps you’re finally done installing Android 4.4.2 KitKat on your device.
Now you can enjoy having Android KitKat fun on your tablet PC. CyanogenMod team did a really good work on developing this ROM for your device and they try to keep the ROM up to date, so the ROM could be bugs free.
