Onstream Group is recruiting to fill the below position of:

Job Title: Subsea Controls System Lead Engineer

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Job Duties
The duties of the Lead Subsea Control Systems Engineer, Post Contract Award are summarised as follows:

*. Follow-up of the detailed engineering, manufacture, FAT, EFAT and SIT for the Subsea Control System (SCS) and related equipment and any future, associated field developments to ensure compliance with Contract specifications and requirements.
*. Liaise with other disciplines (particularly Manifolds, Trees and Installation and Work Over Controls System - IWOCS) and Packages (UFR, FPSO, Drilling and Field Operation teams) to ensure cross-package and inter-contract compliance and consistency in installation and operation.
*. Review and comment on detailed design documents to ensure consistency with Egina Drawings, Specifications and Procedures.
*. Propose to the SPS Engineering Manager, the disposition of Deviations, Concessions and /or Derogation requests as they effect the SCS.
*. Participate to or organize any technical or co-ordination meeting necessary to fulfil the job responsibilities.
*. Deputise for the Subsea Controls Package Lead on anas needed basis.
*. Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to Controls Package Lead on any deviation.
*. Evaluate all aspects of SPS Contractors designs and execution that effect compliance with the Contract Subsea Control System technical requirements.
*. Liaison with Company SCS specialists within technical department to ensure conformance of design to, orfor approval to derogate from, Company specifications.
*. Assist the SCS Package Lead in the analyses and resolution of Change Order Requests.
*. Liaise with the SCS Package Lead in the analyses of SCS related budgets.
*. Review the manufacture and testing programme for all Subsea Controls equipment, ensuring that successful completion will adequately demonstrate compliance with the SPS Contract.
*. Monitor technical compliance of Third Party Procurement with project Requirements. Job Description
During CFT up to Contract Award:-
*. Ensure implementation in his/her own discipline of all HSE and QC requirements and report to SPS Engineering Manager on anydeviation.
*. Mastering the content of theDesign Dossier (Exhibit E), including all Qualifications, Exceptions. Clarifications and Tender Bulletins raised during Tender Clarifications for the SCS and ensuring thatthe proposed designs are consistent with requirements.
*. Assisting the Engineering Manager to update Exhibit E documents as they relate to the SCS in accordance with all modifications agreed during the Tender Clarification Process
*. Optimisation of the proposed technical solutionsfor the SCS.
*. Assist in evaluation of any future clarifications to the CFT leading up to the Recommendation to Award (RTA).
*. Provide evaluation of Tenderer's responses to SCS issues, on an as needed basis, in preparation of the SPS Contract.
*. Assist in the resolution of technical and execution related queries from both the Tenderers and Company teams. Review proposed deviations and give recommendation for project management approval.
*. Organise and / or represent Company for SCS related matters in meetings with the Tenderers, Company Project Teams and Corporate entities.
*. Review / development of the SPS Scope of Supply document for the Subsea Control System and associated equipment- production deliverables, testequipment, installation aids and spares - to ensure it is complete and in accordance with SPS Contract needs.
*. Evaluation of the commercial aspects of the CFT Exhibits as they affect the SCS with particular emphasis on Contract Execution strategy including schedule, testing programmes, QA / QC requirements and interface management.
*. Liaison with Company SCS specialists within technical department to ensure conformance of design to, orfor approval to derogate from, Company specifications.
*. Liaise with other disciplines within the SPS team, particularly Xtrees, Manifolds and Systems to ensure uniformity of interfaces.
*. Inter-package coordination within Company Project teams to ensure coherency of cross package design and project execution interfaces.
*. Report to the SPS Engineering Manager formally, on a weekly and monthly basis, and on an ad-hoc basis with respect to SCS related activities. Requirements
*. Professional engineer
*. 10 experience in Subsea Control Systems equipment, including topsides as well asunderwater located components.
*. Previous experience of Company / Operator Representation during similar type project execution is a distinct advantage
*. Mobility: placement is primarily in Lagos, Nigeria with the potential for international trips.
*. Language: English fluent.
